The Lists and The Schedule Are Working!
At least I think it is the list and the schedule. I don’t know but I’m going to keep it up.
Last week I switched from a daily list to a weekly list. It just didn’t make sense to write out the same list every damned day. Most of the things on my to-do list are the same every day. Write. Social media. Write. Social media. And a few other things like errands and household stuff thrown in there. So, why make a daily list when I can make one list with a check box for each day.
I’ve also started making a daily time table for when I plan to do those things. Last week I did it in pen and found out it didn’t really make sense to do it that way because sometimes I get up a little later and sometimes I juggle things around according to how I’m feeling. This week I made the time table in pencil and I’m moving things around as needed.
I’m not sure if I’m done tweaking or not, but I will see how this week goes.
I Did An Interview
For the first time in 20 years, I did an interview with a professional person as a source for an article I’m writing. It’s for a magazine on Medium but I feel like it could be so much bigger than what it is.
I’m really excited about the interview and I enjoyed doing it and speaking to her. I’m not going to say who it is or anything about the article yet. Y’all will read it when it comes out.
But, I’m thinking that since I got so much good info from her I will likely use some of the info for this article on Medium and then maybe use the rest of it in another article.
I Had A Story Published in MyErotica
MyErotica is a Medium publication. I think it is likely the biggest publication for erotic stories on the site.
I knew that it was going to be published but I didn’t know the exact date. And it went live today! And it is doing so well. It is doing better than my best performing article on Medium and has surpassed that previously best article in one day. The other article has been live for over a month so that’s pretty good.
I’m excited to see my stats tonight.
And, of course, since it did so well, I wrote another story for them today. 🙂
Squirting
This isn’t a topic I’ve really talked about before. But I’m kind fascinated by the whole squirting thing. Female ejaculations is real y’all! You might laugh but I didn’t used to think it was real. Fiction Writing
I have so many damn unfinished stories. LOL. I seriously need to finish something and publish it.
I think that I am really close to finishing an Alicia Stone lesbian story. It was supposed to be a short story so I could get something out quickly. But damned if the story didn’t want to be that short. I’m currently about to start the last sex scene and then I’m wrapping it up. But it feels like just the beginning of Simone and Starr’s story so…I’m thinking this might be a three part story?
I also have this cozy mystery series that I want to do — under a completely different, non-sex related pen name. It’s supposed to be three short stories and the first one is almost done. I’m thinking I should maybe just finish that one off next and get on with it?
Then I have a lesbian BDSM poly romance under the Alicia Stone name that is part way done. It’s got so much detail though that I think it is going to end up being my very first novel.
And then I have a second chance romance for my Autumn Seave name that is more than half done and needs to be completed.
Ugh. I just need to tackle stuff one day at a time.
Future Plans
Unfortunately, going back to work or quitting — it’s just not an option right now. For various reasons, I have to go back. I have to put in a little more time or it is going to fuck some stuff up.
So, right now, mid-to-end of September is the goal for quitting.
I make a little cash from work but if I can stick to nights only (which seems to be a big freaking deal to get because my stupid boss won’t let me), I have all day long to write. My writing day is usually done by 3 pm anyway so as long as I stick to my schedule and my lists, I should be able to make some good progress by the end of September.
Once I’m done with the stupid job-job I am going to power on and keep writing.
But, in the fall, I would like to take at least one trip somewhere. I might not get to do my long distance Vancouver this year. But maybe a smaller trip, somewhere a little closer. Ontario would be nice at that time of the year.
I’m Getting There
For the first time in…well, ever…I feel hopeful. My brain doesn’t hurt so much from trying to remember everything. I don’t feel so anxious because of all the stuff that I haven’t done. I’m not freaking out because I have too many things to do.
I feel calmer and more confident than ever that I am going to be able to quit my job and make a living from working for myself.
